I wrote these emails approximately 6 weeks into nation-wide quarantine due to Covid-19. With design work by Sarah Jean Ferraris, our team provided birthday and anniversary notes to guests in a pandemic.
Our starting message was simple and guest-centric. Our goal: to provide a value-add to guests in the form of a recipe. These recipes for our signature Warm Butter Cake or a specialty Celestial Cocktail, were easy to make at home. The recipes were also signatures, named after one of the vessels or a constant on the boats.
When not cruising, we wanted give our onboard experience to guests. Celebrating with guests, even while apart, was a way to connect while still staying in a space we were authorities in. Our focus on food, celebration, and being together did just that.
This light-hearted take focused on the positive: being together. Our mission was to reference the special occasions people searched for from our brand.
