Frequently Asked Questions
Questions?
Don’t worry – I have (some)answers.
Ways to Contact Me
Is SEO Worth It?
I’m biased (obviously!) but I certainly think so. Especially as AI and machine learning become more common, SEO is adapting to merge content and automation together, so keeping ahead of the curve is essential.
How long will it take you to contact me?
I do my best to respond to all inquiries within 24 business hours, but sometimes life does get in the way with emergencies or unplanned obstacles. If I’m unable to accommodate new projects or will be away for a while, I’ll definitely communicate that well in advance!
Is writing for the internet really that different?
Absolutely! Every platform and medium has different nuances and quirks that you need to take into consideration – for example, you wouldn’t use hashtags in a blog post, but you do on social media, and don’t even get me started on how challenging SEO can be for a press release!
Can you build me a website?
Technically, I could, but honestly, design is not a strong suit (nor is development!) so I don’t want to promise something that won’t be fantastic!
How much do you charge?
Ah, the perennial question. SEO tools and research can add up and take a lot of time, so rates usually begin at $55/hour and can go up to $70-$80/hour on platforms like Upwork where they take a percentage for providing a platform-based on the complexity of the project and ask.
Contact me on Contra or by email (walsh.t.brian@gmail.com) for lower rates!
Isn’t SEO just repeating the same word?
It used to be – but that changed a while back when search engines caught on to how others were manipulating that and algorithms have updated to understand semantic relationships between concepts (ie. coffee and mug have a contextual relationship) which can help clarify page function for search engines.
